FAQs About Bear Lake

  • What is the cabin stocked with? Will we need to bring our own linens?

Bear Lake Premier Cabins provides linens (sheets, pillowcases, comforters and blankets) for all the beds. There will be enough bath towels for the maximum occupancy allowed for the property. This will include a minimum amount of hand towels and washcloths. Each property has a full kitchen with basic cookware items including a full set of pots and pans, dishes, utensils and glassware. We provide a minimum amount of paper towels, toilet paper, laundry soap, dish soap and garbage bags.

  • What should guests bring?

In the Summer months be sure to pack your beach towels, beach chairs, a shade tent/cover, sunscreen, bug spray, your personal hygiene needs and a light sweatshirt for those cooler nights. In the Winter months be prepared for winter conditions and pack snow boats, coats, gloves, and beanies. You may want to throw in a sled or two to enjoy the snow!

  • Will my cell phone work?

Verizon wireless has the best cell and data service in the Bear Lake Valley. T-Mobile, ATT and Sprint work as well but seem to not have as strong of signal as Verizon. As with all areas when there are several people using the same service it can become spotty in areas.

  • Is there internet and/or WIFI at the properties?

Most of our properties have Internet and WIFI capabilities. As the same with the cell phone service it can become spotty during peak season.

  • Nearest grocery store?

There are two local grocery stores in the area. Mike’s Market is located in Garden City near the KOA. It has limited items and selection. The Shell gas station in Garden City also has a grocery store. It to has limited items and selection. We suggest bringing food in coolers and stopping along the way in nearby towns such as Logan, Evanston or Montpelier.

  • Is there a gym nearby?

Many of the cabins have access to a community lodge but there is a small gym in Garden City that can be used for a small fee.

  • Can I bring my pet?

Currently we only have one "pet friendly" home where there is a nightly fee to bring your pet. Please inquire within for more details. Otherwise in our other properties no pets are not allowed in or around any portion of our properties unless they are specifically certified as a ADA certified service animal. Per the contract that is signed at the time of the reservation, "Tenant agrees that this agreement and Tenant's right to occupy the premises may be immediately terminated by Manager... no monies will be refunded under any circumstances... and Manager is authorized to charge Tenant's credit card a minimum of $500."

  • Can I smoke inside or around the property?

No, all of our properties are non smoking properties. This includes vaping. Per the contract that is signed at the time of reservation, “Tenant agrees that this agreement and Tenant’s right to occupy the premises may be immediately terminated by Manager… no monies will be refunded under any circumstances… and Manager is authorized to charge the Tenant’s credit card a minimum of $500.”

  • What time is check in?

    Typically 4:00 pm.

  • What time is check out?

We will do our best to retrieve the item from the property and get it back to the guest in a timely manner. There is a $25 minimum charge for shipping and handling to mail any lost items. We are not responsible for any items that are left, so please make sure to double check you have everything prior to leaving.

  • Is there an additional cleaning charge?

The cleaning fee will be included in the reservation total. If the manager deems that it has taken excessive time to clean up after a guest a fee will be charged.

  • Will we see wildlife?

Most of the properties are located up on the mountain side. As a result you could possibly encounter wildlife with the most common being squirrels and bugs of various types. Deer, Elk and Moose have been seen as well. As always please be respectful by keeping 25 yards away from any wildlife and DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FEED.

  • Do I need a 4WD vehicle?

Most of the cabins are located on the mountain side and during the Winter months many areas require 4WD to access these areas. The State and City workers do their best to keep the roads clear but weather can be unpredictable so please come prepared.
