Bear Lake Monster Winterfest

Bear Lake State Park Marina, UT

January 27 to 29, 2023

The Bear Lake Monster Winterfest is the biggest winter event in Bear Lake, drawing hundreds of visitors and crowds to the shoreline of our Caribbean blue waters. The Bonneville Cisco (unique to Bear Lake) moves to shallow waters during the January spawning period and for a few days visitors can catch a share of the famous Cisco Disco, indulge in fried-Cisco feasts, and listen to tales about the century-long legacy of the Bear Lake Monster. With thousands of dollars in prizes to be won, the Bear Lake Monster Winterfest draws anglers of all ages, and many more simply there for the festivities.

The Bear Lake Monster Winterfest includes fun activities for the whole family! Dip net for Cisco at dawn, dress up for an icy swim at the Monster Polar Plunge, shop and feast on food trucks at the Winterfest Market Village, or take part in the Cardboard Boat Regatta, it’s a blast! The event includes snowmobiling, fat biking and tubing in the Sinks, and a Monster Chili Cook-off with everything from deer, moose and elk!

Beaver Bash Spring Party

Beaver Mountain, UT

Beaver Mountain is Bear Lake’s winter playground, only 13 miles from Garden City! Winter sports enthusiasts know the joy of a day spring skiing the slopes and Beaver Mountain puts on a fun Beaver Bash Spring Party every year to celebrate spring! Men, women and juniors can compete in rugged “Race the Face” events and pond skims – Beaver Mountain is Utah’s #1 family friendly resort, so of course there’s a separate pond for the little skimmers! Be sure to dress up, you don’t have to participate to win a prize for the best dressed.

Cody’s Car Show

Cody’s Gastro Garage – Garden City, UT

June 25, 2022 – 10AM to 3PM

Cody’s Car Show is one of Bear Lake’s favorite local events! Each year Cody’s Gastro Garage (that’s Cody & his dad!) hosts a classic car show to benefit the students from the local high schools. This year welcomes Cody’s fifth annual car show with a collection of classic cars, newer show cars, a guest appearance from one of the Diesel Bros (past guests of Bear Lake Premier Cabins!), awesome food from Cody’s Food Truck and live music.

Fourth of July Celebrations

July – Heritage Park, Garden City, UT

The 4th of July weekend is the peak of summer on Bear Lake! The Caribbean of the Rockies is abuzz with locals and tourists playing in (and on!) the water, sunbathers soaking up the alpine rays, and small-town patriotism on every sidewalk. At the end of a day of lake activities, fire up the grill for fourth of July celebrations and a BBQ cookout in your own backyard, or pack a picnic, blankets and lawn chairs and head to Heritage Park for live bands and dancing, followed by fireworks over Bear Lake. An Independence Day celebration in Bear Lake is a happy and memorable one!

Bear Lake Raspberry Days Festival

Heritage Park, Garden City, UT

August 4 to 6, 2022

Bear Lake Raspberry Days Festival is a sweet Bear Lake summer tradition! Bear Lake is famous for its year-round raspberry shakes found at most eateries, raspberry stands and in abundance at the Raspberry Days Festival. Bear Lake’s biggest (and sweetest!) summer celebration takes place at the end of the raspberry harvesting season, traditionally the first weekend in August. If you’re yet to experience Raspberry Days – add it to your Bear Lake bucket-list!

The festival is a 3-day celebration of Bear Lake’s world-famous raspberries – raspberry pancake breakfasts, raspberry pie eating contests, a Raspberry Day parade, and a Little Miss Berry Princess Pageant. In addition, there’s a craft fair and food trucks with vendors from across the Bear Lake Valley (and all of Utah!), kids activities and games, a family-friendly 5K run, Zumba classes to start your day and live music throughout the weekend. The event ends with a grand display of fireworks over our turquoise “Caribbean of the Rockies”.

Brigham City Peach Days

Brigham City, UT

September 9 to 10, 2022

Brigham City is a scenic and historic Utah town backdropped by the Wasatch Mountains and only an hour scenic drive from Bear Lake through the Logan Canyon. Brigham City is known for its fresh, fuzzy peaches and the annual Brigham City Peach Days dating back to 1904, is one of the longest continually celebrated harvest events in Utah and attracts over 35,000 visitors each year!

Ranked one of the best small-town festivals in Utah, Brigham City Peach Days features all things peach from peach pies and jams to delicious peach ice-cream, carnival rides for the kids, food and drink booths, and one of the largest free classic car shows in the US.

Pickleville Playhouse

Bear Lake, UT

The Pickleville Playhouse has been entertaining visitors to Bear Lake since 1977, it’s a Bear Lake tradition and a must-do on your vacation itinerary for Bear Lake. Pickleville Playhouse is located on the banks of Bear Lake and is Utah’s most unique live theater experience with hilarious, interactive shows and fun for the whole family. Shows for the 2022 summer season include a modern, musical melodrama “New Sheriff in Town” and a brilliant reproduction of Disney’s classical “Beauty and the Beast”. It’s a popular Bear Lake attraction, so get your tickets soon!
